These loops insure your holster will not come out with your pistol when you draw it. The clip this holster shipped with is stiff but think it will slip over low profile belts when you draw your gun. The loops are tedious to install and could be made much simpler. All in all, great product. Pros: Retains holster very well Cons: Difficult to install
